This is exactly what Wenger has been on about. Players get away with dangerous tackles and something should be done about that.

It is very disheartening that anybody at all could disagree with something so obviously correct.

Instead we have false manufactured controversies over late challenges that are actually punished, while the media and pundits ignore the real, bad specifically outlawed tackles.

80% - Arsenal have won 80% of Premier League games when Johan Djourou has started in central defence (33 wins out of 41). Banker.

When confronted with the stat which shows that Arsenal have fired the most shots in the league this season, someone quipped that the stat ought to be twice it's value.

One trend seen this season, especially in recent games is Arsenal struggling to take advantage of promising offensive situations.

In many cases, Arsenal's movement, tactical set-up and creative play sets up very promising attacks. Frustratingly, too much of the time, these don't even lead to shots on goal.

The graphic above shows 4 situations in the first 20 minutes of the Newcastle game where Arsenal would easily have played the forwards through 1-on-1 with the keeper.

I remember Dennis Bergkamp saying last year that the current crop of Arsenal players often seem to make the wrong choices in attack and that's why many teams that actually are battered by Arsenal come away with good results.

It's looking very true this season. In the last 5 games, Arsenal have struggled to score against Birmingham, Manchester City (despite the 3-nil scoreline), West Ham, Shakhtar and now Newcastle.

In each of those game they had multiple chances, and created multiple chances and yet really struggled to score.
